What to Expect At the Middle East Pavilion

This is a region where guests are treated like family, where traditions are shared with generosity, and where the scent of cardamom or the rhythm of a drum can transport you instantly. This is exactly what you can expect at the Middle East Pavilion at World Fair US.

The Middle East is not one place, one language, or one culture. It’s a tapestry of nations and peoples – Arab, Persian, Kurdish, Turkish, Assyrian, Armenian, and more – each with its own voice, but all deeply rooted in a shared love of community, beauty, and celebration.

Inside the pavilion, music drifts through the air: the soulful cry of the oud, the complex beat of the darbuka, or the playful trill of a flute. Dancers move with joy and elegance across the stage, sometimes solemn and powerful, sometimes festive and wild, always full of meaning. Every performance is an invitation to witness something sacred.

You’ll find artistry in every corner, from delicate calligraphy and geometric patterns to bold ceramics and handwoven textiles. Many of these designs have been passed down through generations, carrying prayers, poems, and philosophies in every line and curve.

The food of the region is served outside the pavilion –  rich stews, grilled meats, freshly baked flatbreads, and sweets soaked in honey and history. Each bite carries memory, comfort, and a sense of belonging.

More than anything, the Middle East Pavilion is a space of hospitality. You are welcome here. Whether you come to learn, to watch, to listen, or simply to take a breath. This is not a place of spectacle. It’s a place of connection.

Let yourself linger. Ask questions. Admire the craftsmanship. Join in the applause. And above all, feel the warmth of a region that has always believed in the power of gathering.
